SC Supreme Court Hearing on Kiawah Spit Development

In an e-mail from Peter of Friends of the Kiawah River, we were informed:
The fate of the 2783 ft bulkhead/revetment on the Kiawah River will be determined at its court hearing on Tuesday, January 18th at 10:00am at the courthouse on Sumter Street in Columbia. The hearing will last only 30 minutes which will be shared by the two sides.  If you can be in the area on that date, please plan to turn up at the courthouse. We hope that as many people as possible will attend to reinforce the importance of this issue.

Mary Edna has a van and will be traveling to Columbia to attend the hearing with Nancy Vinson and Celie Dailey.  We will be leaving promptly at 7 AM from Mary Edna’s studio in James Island.  Anyone in the Charleston area is welcome to carpool.  Please e-mail in**@ma******.com or call the studio at (843) 762-2594 if you want to ride up with us.
